Ways to Volunteer

Our volunteers help save lives, support foster families, and bring comfort to people and animals across our community—from shy shelter dogs to seniors who light up during therapy visits. By giving your time, you’re not just helping with walks, care, and events—you’re becoming part of a compassionate village that believes every dog deserves a second chance and every person deserves connection, purpose, and a little more love in their day.

Hope & Healing Handlers (Youth Program)

Students learn responsible dog ownership while helping train, walk, and socialize our rescue dogs. Through hands-on work, they build confidence, compassion, and leadership while learning about adoption, animal welfare, and how caring for animals impacts the whole community.

Adult Dog Walkers & Socializers

Adult volunteers help give our dogs the love, exercise, and real-world exposure they need by walking, training, and socializing them. With experience, volunteers may even take dogs on field trips to local parks or dog-friendly spots to help them shine in public settings.

Dogs Doing Good Dashers (Transport Team)

Dashers are the behind-the-scenes heroes who safely transport dogs to vet visits, adoption events, foster homes, and community programs. Their support keeps our rescue running and our dogs on the move toward their forever homes.

Community Canine Crew (Events and Outreach Team)

These volunteers help us spread joy in the community by assisting at senior centers, weekend adoption events, and special programs. They support our teams, handle dogs, greet the public, and help create meaningful connections between people and our pups.
