Adoption Fees:
Why we price this way:
Your adoption fee plays a vital role in helping us provide comprehensive care for every dog in our rescue. This includes wellness exams, spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, microchipping, preventatives, medications, grooming, training, transport, boarding, and daily care. While routine costs for a healthy dog can range from a few hundred dollars, many of the dogs we save require specialized or emergency medical treatment costing thousands. As a small, volunteer-run rescue, we often cover expenses out-of-pocket, and your support allows us to continue giving dogs the care — and second chance — they deserve.

Is a dog the right fit for you right now?
We understand that adopting a dog is a significant decision that requires thoughtful, long-term commitment. Before reaching out, we encourage you to reflect on your readiness, as unexpected life changes can sometimes lead to shelter surrenders. If you’re not quite ready, volunteering at a local shelter is a wonderful way to gain experience and insight. For those unsure about immediate adoption or the best fit, fostering or foster-to-adopt programs offer a trial period to ensure compatibility before making a lifelong commitment.
